What a truly excellent performance turned in by our Buffalo Seminary Cross County team at the Monsignor Martin High School Athletic Association Championship on Sunday, Nov. 3. With the first and last 1/2 mile of East Aurora’s Knox Farm State Park course pretty much underwater, two delays for lightning and thunder, constant rain and mud everywhere, our girls never faltered. This was no doubt the best team effort of the season!

Our Varsity Team was led by Zoe Knauss finishing 2nd overall, earning Monsignor Martin 1st Team All-Catholic League Honors and representing SEM at the NY State Federation Championship XC meet in two weeks.

For the first time ever, SEM fielded a complete JV team. Led by Tessa Covello, a personal best time by Fiona Zhang, and strong performances from Melanie TunkeySophia Rodriguez, and Georgia Bontempo our team finished 4th. Well done girls!

SEM finished 6th behind strong performances from Julianna FanaraLydia Abbott, Tia BrowderJocelyn YangMaggie McHale, and Peyton Wagner. Way to go SEM Varsity!
You have made SEM so proud once again!!!
Thank you, girls, for this amazing season, thank you, parents, for all the support, and thank you SEM for the opportunity to coach these outstanding student-athletes.
Best always,
Coach
