This week Lauren Pollina discovered the origins of our Red-Tailed Hawk mascot, Scott An makes suggestions for a morning beauty routine, Grace Gallagher checks in on basketball’s progress toward Monsignor Martin (MMHSAA) finals – Harry Scully Jr. of the Buffalo News took fantastic pictures of the SEM vs. Tapestry basketball game on Friday night, and finally, Christina Siragusa describes annual Rose Dance. Writer’s Club president Aerin Wagner has a reminder for SEM poets to submit to a UB contest for high school students.

Friday, SEM announced six new student scholarships donated as part of the recently closed and tremendously successful Remarkable Opportunities Campaign for SEM. We are grateful for the generosity of the families and organizations that believe access to a SEM education can change a girl’s life, and the lives of those around her.

Summer at SEM registration opened! New this year is a sailing class offered at the Buffalo Yacht Club. And for the second year, the first week of camp is only for girls entering 5th and 6th grades with special programming and orientation just for them.
