SEM Weekly will now publish on Monday night.
Next week’s SEM Weekly will be written by the all-new students in the second trimester of journalism class. This week’s student contributions come from Sarah Hamdan ’18 and Jesse Sloier ’17.
Don’t forget to order your poinsettia or wreath tomorrow, Dec. 6, and support the junior and senior classes.

It’s SEM’s annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday. Over fifty vendors will be located throughout our historic school building, selling a variety of home-made and hand-crafted items. This year’s assortment includes specialty food, candles, jewelry, lotions, photography, glassware, SEM apparel, exotic imports, and ornaments. It’s a perfect opportunity to support local businesses, nosh on tasty treats, and cross off your holiday shopping list. We hope to see you there!
The Semachords are in the midst of a very busy holiday season. Tonight they perform at the Garret Club. Tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 6, they, the SEM ensemble and the Glee Club will sing at M&T Bank Plaza at 1 PM. December 8, the Semachords perform at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site for a Victorian Luncheon.
SEM is a registered nonprofit with AmazonSmile. Customers have access to the same products, features, services, and low prices as on Amazon.com. The shopping experience is identical to Amazon.com with the added benefit that the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from eligible AmazonSmile purchases to charitable organizations selected by customers (SEM!). You can change your nonprofit selection at any time. Thank you for considering SEM for your generosity.
And finally, does anyone have a ping-pong table they would like to donate to our ping-pong club? It’s brand new and created by popular demand! The club’s founders have already torn it up at a competition at 43N. The club would greatly benefit by having two tables, and we will appreciate the donation!
