SEM?Quest Committee

SEM?Quest 2016, held on Friday, November 4, was a smashing success. 150 parents, trustees, faculty, and staff gathered at SEM for a night of games and fun. Hornets and Jackets tested their Buffalo history knowledge with Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins as the dynamic hosts of Buffalo Jeopardy.

Mr. Sutton and the Red Key girls led participants on a SEM scavenger hunt throughout the building – did you know that the art room is home to SEM’s Winged Victory statue or that Ms. Angell’s portrait hangs over the fireplace in the library? In addition to building community at SEM, SEM?Quest also raises money to support SEM’s programs, like class trips and activities. This year SEM?Quest raised $30,000.

Kim Schlehr (P ’17), SEM?Quest Chair, deserves a huge thank you for her hard work. Erin Curtin (The Steer and P ’19) and Liz Overdorf (P ’15 and ’19, SEM staff) and their volunteers did a stellar job in the kitchen. Everyone raved about the delicious food (did you try the mini grilled cheese?).
The rest of the SEM?Quest committee deserves a round of applause for their work securing sponsorships, collecting auction items, and making sure SEM?Quest 2016 was an all-around fun night. Thanks to Jessica Enstice (P ’19), Terri Rich (P ’18), Emily O’Connor Wyckoff ’87 (P ’18), Natalia Land (P ’19), Sheila Donovan (P ’20), Jessica Nieves (P ’20), and Whitney Kellogg McDonnell ’89 (P ’19).
DJ Rich (P ’18) and his crew manned the bar. Anne Dunbar (P ’17) stepped up last minute to help out with the scavenger hunt. Thank you to everyone else who helped out and everyone who came – we hope to see you again next year!
